Road Trip Wednesday is a "Blog Carnival," where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question and answer it on our own blogs. You can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
Road Trip Wednesday #65 - This Week's Topic:
Happy Groundhog Day! If the groundhog sees his shadow, we get six more weeks of winter (and we're hoping he doesn't, since 2/3 of the US is covered in blizzard right now).
In the movie Groundhog Day, Bill Murray has to relive the same day over and over. What books would you pick to read over and over for the rest of your life?
My answer: I love so many books, and especially YA and middle grade books, that it is hard to narrow them down, but I think I'd choose:
The Lord of the Rings
Swallows and Amazons
Harry Potter Paperback Box Set (Books 1-7)
Which Witch?
Oh my gosh, I'd better stop or I'll be listing books all day.
Yes, I would wish for at least one shelf of books if I were stuck in Groundhog Day world.
ReplyDeleteoohh, these are good choices. I have heard a lot about Swallows and Amazons lately. I am putting it on my list right now!
ReplyDeleteLOTR is the perfect classic. A friend of mine (in his 30s) told me recently how distinctly he remembers reading those with his dad as a child. I can't wait to do the same with my boys.
Enjoying your reviews, Ben. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteLord of the Rings is a very smart choice! It takes a while to work your way through it, and it's full of all sorts of interesting details :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting. It's great to see you all, and I hope you come back again.
